The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) organized a farewell programme for the outgoing Admin Officer, namely Deputy Commissioner Orenthung Lotha, ADC Lankonsen T Tsanglao. SDO (C) Chonpenthung Ezung and SDO (C) Wanmei Phom at DC's Conference Hall, Wokha on 9th June 2022.
Outgoing DC, while delivering his farewell speech, said despite so many obligations, getting the chance to work and serve his people was a privilege. He said he had served to the best of his ability in serving the people and said it was all possible because of the support and cooperation that he got from all sections.
During his 2 years and 7 months stay in Wokha, the achievements made, were all because of the support he received from all departments, his subordinates Officers, NGOs, and the Hohos.
He also thanked the legislators, especially Dr. Chumben Murry who has always been with the District Administration during times of problems and difficulties and giving guidance.
Pointing some of the achievements, he stated that during their tenure Wokha- Bhandari road was completed, he also said for the construction of the 2 lane project their team has solved 99% of the problems and all the land owners had been compensated and said that the project is going faster as expected but because of the coming of monsoon the works may get delayed.
ADC Lankonsen T. Tsanglao said he has worked with one of the best teams of Admin Officers, because of which he had enjoyed working during his stay at Wokha.
SDO (C) Chonpenthung Ezung, expressed gratitude to the Board members of DPDB for organizing a sending-off programme for them, he said he gained a lot of experience in every field.
Chairman DPDB, Wokha, and Advisor Law and Justice, Dr. Chumben Murry speaking during the farewell programme thanked all the officers for their valuable service rendered to the people of Wokha, sharing his experience working with the outgoing officers, he said time spent together was worth appreciating because they all have given their best and carried out their assignment with utmost sincerity, Dr. Murry also stated that despite many challenges during their stay (their team) they could properly maintain law and order in the district. He further encouraged them to work with the same valor wherever they may be posted.
