ATMA Chunlikha block conducted ‘field day cum farmers exposure trip’ at Phenda village, Tseminyu on 18th Aug 2020. The farmers along with ATMA staff visited a tea farm school with the farm teacher Shwenga Kent.

Farm teacher highlighted the techniques of propagation from cutting and seeds and briefly explained the methods of plantation to the farmers. He also explained the methods of processing in making green tea and encouraged the farmers to take up tea plantation as it was a good source of income and would last long if one could give time in taking care and maintaining the farm.

Local green tea was distributed to the farmers and altogether 15 farmers attended the program.
