A credit outreach programme at the District Level at Wokha under the guidance of the Department of Financial Services Government of India as a part of 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was held on 8th June 2022 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha. The camp was organized by the Lead Bank of India Wokha Branch, sponsored by NABARD.

Activities like the distribution of sanction letters to beneficiaries of different credit schemes, and enrolment of beneficiaries under Jansuraksha Schemes i.e PMJJBY, PMSBY, KCC, and APY were carried out during the programme.

Beneficiaries were given sanction loans on the day through different banks- SBI, Nagaland State Co-operative Bank, Nagaland State Rural Bank, and NS Property Bank, total number of around 45 beneficiaries were felicitated and distributed with loan sanction letters amounting to about Rupees 75 lakhs.

Chief Manager, SBI, Wokha Makuni Thaimei, while highlighting the Social Security Schemes of the Government of India, informed that individuals willing to avail of the loan/benefits can approach the bank branches or Customer Service Point (CSP) during working hours.

The programme was attended by General Manager (DIC) Wokha, N.Patton, who also highlighted the various loans available under different schemes. During the programme, CSP Wonchio Odyuo was felicitated for his valuable services rendered in helping the beneficiaries in guiding the preparation of the formalities in availing loans and other services.

On behalf of the District Administration, SDO (C) Selemla Sangtam gave the opening remark and later handed over the sanction letters to the beneficiaries. The welcome address was delivered by Deputy Manager, SBI, Wokha Branch, Zumro Ngullie while the vote of thanks was proposed by Branch Manager, CBI Wokha Sashiyanger.
