Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi visited Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire and interacted with the facilities and students during his maiden visit to Kiphire on 9th February 2022.
The Governor, while addressing the gathering, expressed hope that interaction with the faculties and students would reform and solve the problems in the college. He stated that education does not only mean gaining bookish knowledge and securing government jobs. He stressed the need to develop one's land and take up agriculture with the latest technics and technology in the State. Prof. Mukhi reminded Prime Minister’s statement that India will develop only when the NorthEast develop. He added that real growth will come in the NorthEast when agriculture is developed and its development is a top priority for the central government.
Principal I/C, Dr Puma Chandra Mishra, stressing on the governor’s achievement, said that Prof. Jagdish is a true inspiration and a perfect role model for society. He also stated that among the 15 Government colleges in the State, Zisaji Presidency College is occupying the 6th position. Dr. Mishra said that the college is doing its best for the all round development of the students' community.
An interaction was also held with the faculty and students of the college. A vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Professor, Zhoveyi Venuh.
