While releasing the half-yearly crime data report ie (1st Jan - 3rd June) at Dimapur on 6th June 2022 at the Commissioner of Police Office. Rothihu Tetseo, CP Dimapur claimed that the overall law & order situation in Dimapur has been peaceful and under control. Under the Dimapur Police Action Plan, the Dimapur police are putting extra enforcement to control extortion and illegal taxation activities the CP stated. While "Care For You" has been launched by the Dimapur Traffic Police to prevent accidents, especially on the highways, and for which extra traffic personnel has also been deployed in the city. Moreover, in compliance with the government of Nagaland, Home Department, Political Branch, Notification vide No. CON- 1/G/41/2011 dated 19/05/2022 all check gates including Chumoukedima Inter- district / ILP check gate, have been closed down except for the inter-state check gates namely, Dellai police check gate, New Field police check gate, and Khatkhati police check gate.

CP further stated that Dimapur/Chumoukedima/ Niuland registered 50% of the total cases registered across the state ie 735 cases. In regards to theft cases registered, two-wheelers theft case was the highest of which 40% of cases have been solved while One each case were registered under the POCSO Act and Dacoity Act. 58 cases were registered for Extortion and under the Arms Act and 93 persons were arrested.
