The Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, M. Shayung Phom at the DC's Conference Hall on 6th March 2021.

            The DC extended his appreciation to the members for their financial contribution towards the Bridge Construction Committee and review the last meeting minutes.

            EAC Longleng, Pichano Kikon highlighted on financial contribution made by the DPDB members for assistance to the Bridge Construction Committee over Dikhu River between Mongtikang and Salulamang.  She also briefed on the surprise checking conducted in all the Government offices in the district headquarter on 25th February 2021 by the district administration. 

            CMO Longleng, Dr. Obangjungla informed about the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination drive in the district and asserted that Longleng is doing well. She also gave information on dates and times schedule for the second dose vaccine for health care workers and in the blocks as well. She also informed on Medical Board for service confirmation of government employees on 16th March and the tour program of Health Minister S. Pangnyu Phom in the district from 8 to 12 March 2021. In this regard, she invited all the HoDs to accompany the Health Minister who will be inaugurating health centers and other activities in the district.

            MO Longleng, Dr. Temsu spoke on advocacy campaign for elimination of Tuberculosis in India by the year 2025. He asserted that TB is one of the major public health problem in the country and the initiative taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elimination of TB, five years ahead of global time line of 2030.

            Appealing the members to be a part of TB elimination campaign, Dr. Temsu highlighted that the government of India provides every citizen free diagnosis, free drugs and free treatment for TB in government health centers along with financial incentives for patients and treatment supporters as well. He therefore, urged the members to raise awareness on TB and sensitise the people in their respective community on the facilities provided by the Government for the people.

            Later, the board constituted the verification Committee for LADP 2020-21 for 49 A/C Tamlu and 50 A/C Longleng. 

            The PWD (R&B) presented their departmental activities through a power point presentation. The president of the Phom People's Council (PPC) also exhorted the members.
