In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, SDO(C), Wakching, ReliseSangtam on 18th May 2021 ordered the sealing of Wakching Police Outpost till further order. In another order, SDO(C) Wakching, ordered the sealing of the following houses at Wakching Town: 

1. House No.105, YupnokWannung Colony.
2. House No. 98, YupnokWannung Colony.
3. House No. 99, YupnokWannung Colony.
4. The houses are to remain sealed till further orders. 

Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable.
