The Farwell Programme of outgoing Director Industries and Commerce K. Hokieshe Assumi was held on 31st March 2022 at the Conference hall Directorate of Industries and Commerce Kohima.
Assumi thanked God for giving him good health and expressed appreciation to all the staff of the Department for their cooperation, love, and support. He said the Department of Industries and Commerce has a big role to play in the Development of the State for which he called upon all the staff to work with zeal and commitment while discharging their given responsibility. The Director is retiring from active service with effect from 1st April after serving the Department for the last Thirty-five years. He first joined the department as Functional Manager on 7th December 1990 and later on took the charge as Director on 22nd October 2019.
Advisor Industries and Commerce, Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Imnatiba in his speech described the outgoing Director as a fatherly figure, approachable, and hardworking person. He lauded the outgoing Director for playing a proactive role in creating the Department as an effective machinery for the development of the State.
The outgoing Director was the first-ever recipient of a processed pension book from the Department on his retirement day. The Department has also informed to hand over the processed pension book to all the staff on their retirement day.

Lipongse Thongtsar and Registrar Kevirheineiu. The chairman of the programme was Joint Director (A) Temjen Jamir.
