An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) led by Adviser, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ruchika Gupta along with Under Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Deep Shikhar Singhal, and Research Officer, Sansad Marg, Dr. Md. Faisal Abdullah visited Peren District on 22nd April 2022 and held a brief meeting at Jalukie with Administrative Officers and various Heads of Departments to take stock of the drought-like situation in the district.

            During the meeting, the Department of Agriculture, PHED, and Fisheries through a presentation apprised the visiting officials of the ground realities that the department has faced during the drought-like situation in the district.

Earlier, the welcome address was proposed by ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui. Later the team also conducted field inspections at Mhainamtsi, New Jalukie, and Nkwareu Village.
