The cultural troupes from different tribes participated in a tug-of-war event held in the on-going 26th Edition of Hornbill Festival 2025, both in Men and women categories, conducted by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports at the Unity Plaza, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, Kohima on 5th December 2025.
In the male category, Chakhesang tribe emerged as the winner while Khiamniungan tribe and Angami tribe were declared the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
In the female category, Khiamniungan tribe emerged as the winner while Yimkhiung tribe and Chakhesang tribe were judged the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
The winners in all the categories were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/-, 20,000/- and 15,000/- respectively.
