A delegation comprising of four members from the 4th State Finance Commission, under the leadership of Chairperson, Sarah R. Ritse, retired Commissioner & Secretary of the Government of Nagaland, visited Mangkolemba Town Council (MTC) on May 21, 2025. The core agenda of the meeting revolved around the Five-Year Plan for Mangkolemba town. During the discussions, the MTC provided a short overview of the town, highlighting its needs and challenges, particularly the insufficient internal resources to carry out essential development projects, including market facilities, roads, and drainage systems. On a positive note, the availability of land was identified as a considerable asset for future development efforts.

Also present were the Chairperson of the MTC, the councillors of the town council, Ward Chairmen, Gaon Boras, and the General Secretary of the Jangpetkong Senso Telongjem Mangkolemba (JSTM).
