The 2nd Edition of Showuba Memorial Volleyball tournament which was organised by Shamator District Volleyball Association (SDVA) from 7-9 April was graced by S. Keoshu Yimchunger, Advisor Youth Resources & Sports on 7th April at Public Ground, Shamator.
S Keoshu Yimchunger thanked the Shamator District Volleyball Association for organising District Level platform that provides a gateway opportunity for the talented youth of the Shamator, he also thanked S. Yanba Showuba and his family for taking initiative and sponsoring the tournament in remembrance of Lt. Showuba, one of the pioneers of Shamator town, who assisted the district administration as Dobashi to Head Dobashi and also served as the Hd. Gaonbura of the Shamator Town.
    Speaking to the young players, the Advisor emphasised on consistency, hardwork and sacrifice in the game, not just as a seasonal player. He urged the youth to maintain self-discipline both morally and spiritually, which is the main ingredient for becoming a successful sportsperson. He also added that a sportsperson should maintain a healthy, hygiene and regular practice to ensure mental and physical fitness. He wished the best to all fourteen teams.
    The programme was attended by officers from the District Administration, Col. J.P. Singh, Commandant AR. Shamator Battalion, public leaders, Lt. Showuba family and a large crowd.
