Electoral Roll Observer, Mohammed Ali Shihab A, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary IT & Communication held a special summary revision of electoral rolls meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Kiphire on 26th November 2024.

In the meeting, Mohammad apprised the political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents and collaborate closely with BLOs for genuine electoral rolls. He also highlighted the need to facilitate peaceful and fair elections, emphasizing that despite special camps, the number of new enrolments remain low.

He also urged the BLOs to give their best so that no one should be left out and also encouraged NGOs and political parties to conduct internal meetings, sensitize their numbers, and work towards enrolling all eligible citizens.

The meeting was chaired by ADC Kiphire, Longdiba L Sangtam NCS, and attended by ADC Pungro, Yithachu Thur, EAC Kiphire, Niti and various officials. Assistant Election Officer, AEROs from Kiphire and BLOs of polling station from 59th A/C Seyochung Sitimi and 60th A/C Pungro Kiphire, along with presidents and representatives of recognized political parties under Kiphire district attended the meeting.
