Temsunaro Aier, IAS, Development Commissioner & State Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland inaugurated Government Primary School, Hongphoi Village on 21st April 2025. She congratulated the Village Council for the successful completion of the new school building without any hindrance. She expressed her gratitude for community support and the cooperation from the civil societies as education is a priority to all. It marked a new chapter in the education field in the village, a day of joy and jubilation.

              She encouraged the students to study well, stating that success does not depend on good school building/ good english school, it all depends on individual hard work. She also explained the importance of the foundation laid down for children. She requested the parents to provide the basic requirements of the children and give equal importance to church and school.

              She also explained the new educational policy and challenged the teaching community to adopt it. Education is all round development, not only classroom teaching. Giving notes and letting them memorize is not enough. Focus on each and every child's competency and motivate the child's learning, she added.

              She was accompanied by Joint Mission Director, Dr. Kevizakie Rio, State Co-ordinator Samaga Shiksha, Meren, Junior Engineer, Yonghok and DEO Mon, Enibemo Shitio. The School construction was funded by Samaga Shiksha and it consisted of 5 (Five) rooms.

              The new school building was dedicated by Pastor HBC, Rev. R. Phowang. The programme was chaired by Social & Cultural Secretary HSU, Khampai. Invocation by Deacopn Board HBC and a special number was presented by Grace Home Hostellers. Short speeches were delivered by E. Wanglong, President HSU, Tonpha, VEC, Manto, Village Council Chairman, and Enibemo Shitio, DEO Mon. Benediction was pronounced by B.T Nahwang Associate Pastor Youth.
