As part of "Swachhata Hi Seva and Sewa Pakhwara Campaign" a cleanliness drive was carried out on 21st September 2024 by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Wing, Yingli College Longleng in and around the Lempong junction, Petrol pump area, Nyengching Junction, High School Junction, SBI area, Public Ground, NST Stand and Hukphang Junction. 

Before starting the cleanliness drive the volunteers took the Swachhata Pledge at Lempong junction. The 1st Phase activities on SWACHHATA HI SEVA, 2024, covered about 2 Kilometres areas of Longleng Town.

Altogether 150 NSS volunteers along with 6 faculties, 2 NSS community members and one Programme Officer (PO) participated in the programme. Around 120 to 130 KGs of waste/garbage were collected during the cleanliness drive.

         The campaign will culminate on 2nd October 2024 with the celebration of Swachh Bharat Diwas.
