UIDAI Regional Office, Guwahati conducted training at Townhall, Dimapur , Nagaland on 27th August 2025  for the state of Nagaland & Arunachal Pradesh on the newly launched Universal Client — an advanced, fully online Aadhaar enrolment software — aimed at enhancing the efficiency and performance of Aadhaar Operators and Supervisors across the region.

The training was attended by the Government Officials, Supervisors, Master Trainers and Operators. More than 150 participants attended the training session. The training emphasized the key features and benefits of Universal Client, highlighting its significant improvements in terms of usability, speed. The participants are encouraged to carry out Aadhaar Enrolment/Update facilities through Universal Client as it facilitates faster & more efficient process.

The training also focussed on Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) of children in Aadhaar between the age of 5-7 years and 15-17 years respectively. During this process, the child's photograph, all ten fingerprints, and both irises are scanned. Aadhaar with updated biometric facilitates seamless usage of Aadhaar in availing services such as school admissions, registering for entrance examinations, availing benefits of scholarships etc. Timely completion of Mandatory Biometric Update in Aadhaar is an essential requirement for maintaining the accuracy of biometric data of children in Aadhaar.
