Ajay Kumar Bhalla was sworn-in as the 22nd Governor of Nagaland in a Swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on 25th August 2025.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice, Guahati High Court, Ashutosh Kumar in the presence of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio and his Cabinet, Member of Parliament, Advisors, MLAs and Senior Bureaucrats, Police and Military officials from Central and State Government, Members of Civil Societies of Nagaland.
Meanwhile, the new Governor was also accorded the Rastriya Salute by the Nagaland Police Mahilla (IR) Contingents at Raj Bhavan. Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen conducted the swearing in ceremony.
