The Assam Rifles celebrated National Teachers' Day at GMS and Christian School, Anatongre Village, with the aim of honouring the dedication and selfless service of teachers in nurturing young minds and shaping the future of the community on 5th September 2026.

The celebration provided an opportunity to recognise the vital role played by teachers in imparting knowledge, instilling values and inspiring students to pursue their aspirations. As part of the programme, students enthusiastically prepared gratitude posters expressing their heartfelt appreciation for their teachers, adding a personal and meaningful touch to the occasion.

In a gesture of support towards education and holistic development, stationery items were distributed among the students, while sports items were presented to both schools to encourage participation in sports and promote healthy and active lifestyles among the children.

The event witness enthusiastic participation of 85 students and 19 teachers, along with Village Council Members and proud parents. The gathering fostered meaningful interaction and further strengthened the bond of trust, goodwill and cooperation between Assam Rifles and the local community.

The celebration concluded on a warm and cheerful note with distribution of refreshments to all participants. The reaffirmed Assam Rifles' commitment to education, youth empowerment and community welfare, particularly in the remote areas of Nagaland, while contributing towards a brighter future for the region.
