Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Shanavas C has informed that an observation has been made where a number of construction materials are left exposed in the open posing hazard to passersby. It further said that debris/dust/smoke/noise from construction sites has created undesirable levels of noise and air pollution and the exposed construction sites are degrading the aesthetics of the city making it unwelcoming, unappealing, and unhygienic. Therefore, in the interest of public safety, the DC has issued an order and directed all the owners to keep the construction sites covered/barricaded/screened with Green Shade Net/Tarpaulin/CGI sheet till the completion of the construction work.
