A massive fire broke out this morning at Kipongya Ward, Zone 6, Kisingki 3 KM away from Fire Station Kiphire on 23rd July 2025.

According to a report, a fire call was received at 05: 40 AM. Two Water Tankers (WTP) with sufficient manpower were deployed to combat the fire. After prolonged fire fighting efforts lasting one hour, the fire was brought under control.

Damage assessment reported 6 rooms and 3 kitchens completely razed by the fire. Adjacent houses around 7 - 10 household were saved due to timely prompt intervention of the fire fighting efforts.

2 minor casualties were reported and sent to District Hospital for first aid. The fire station responded promptly despite the distance and lack of road connectivity.

The deployment of WPTs and sufficient manpower played a crucial role in controlling the fire and preventing further damage.
