The District Fishery Officer, Mon conducted a One Day Hands-On-Training on Value Added Fish Product on 3rd October 2026 at Mon Town for the local SHGs and aspiring entrepreneurs. A total of 20 trainees from local SHGs and individuals participated in the programme.

During the programme, District Fishery Officer Mon, Angun Wangshu highlighted the importance and benefits of fish farming and its product. She encouraged the participants to take up entrepreneurships through value added fish products to boost their economy.

During the training period, the trainees were trained in the preparation of fish pickle, fish balls and fish fingers. The trainers for the programme were Kedolhouse Kuotsu, FI Mon; Kito H Yeptho, FI Mon; Kanlong P Yimpenshu, AFI Mon; and Tongtisangba Longchar, AFI Mon.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Kedolhouse Kuotsu FI, Mon.
