LONGLENG DISTRICT TB FORUM MEETING HELD  

The Longleng District TB forum meeting was held at DCs Conference Hall in Longleng on 24th May 2023.

Dr. Temsusashi, DTO Longleng delivered the keynote address and explained the objective of the district TB forum besides sharing the vision of making Longleng district TB-free by 2025 along with the rest of the country.

Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District TB Forum Longleng, Dharam Raj, IAS exhorted that anything related to TB is welcomed for discussion. He recalled those days when talking about TB was a stigma and stressed the PM's commitment to eliminate TB in India by 2025, where the government is implementing a National Strategic plan to end TB by 2025, He appealed to all who attended the meeting to extend their cooperation and support in carrying out strategic plans to eliminate TB and also disseminate information regarding TB in every village in the district.

Tongang, STS, (NTEP) Longleng, and Meribeni Khuvung, PMDT-HIV Co-ordinator (NTEP) Longleng briefed about the programme activities in the district and different incentives available under the programme.

TB champion H. Imtichuba, DB Longleng shared the testimony about his TB treatment.

The meeting was followed by a group discussion about TB among the participants who attended the meeting

Earlier the program was chaired by Dr. Temsusashi, DTO, Longleng, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Henmei Phom, TB Health Visitor (NTEP) Longleng.
