“Good evening,

As at 4 P.M. today, a total of 805 samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 775 samples have been received and all have been tested as negative. The results for the remaining 30 samples are awaited. Today, a total of 7369 persons have been screened and a total of 77 persons are under Facility Quarantine.

Today, the Government of Nagaland launched returnees’ declaration form in the website iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in wherein, Nagaland citizens stranded in different parts of the country can register themselves to come back to Nagaland either on their own arrangement by Road (e-Pass) or by arrangements to be made by the State Government. Special trains or Buses as per the requirement will be arranged to bring back the stranded people after sorting out the data of the applicants. As at 5 P.M.  today, a total of 33 have applied for e-Passes and 7015  have requested government arrangement for transportation.

The Inter-District movement of stranded persons to their home districts which began yesterday continued for the second day today. Till now a total of 1758 passengers in 85 buses have travelled back to their respective districts from various locations of the State.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with the Police Department is digitally monitoring persons put on quarantine for the whole quarantine period through the nCovid-19 Nagaland Visitor’s App. The monitoring is done from the perspective of both health - nCovid 19 symptoms daily self-reporting through the app, and Police-Quarantine enforcement through geo-fencing. As on 8th May 2020, a total number of 4579 persons have registered under the digital surveillance report, out of which 4355 persons registered in the app have already completed quarantine and 220 persons under quarantine are currently being monitored through the app.

The Department of Health & Family Welfare has issued an advisory for any seriously ill non-COVID patients requiring treatment outside the State. Such patients are requested to contact their respective District Task Force for more information. They are also requested to get a written document, an acceptance note by the Referring-in hospital while applying for referral or movement permit.

Please stay at home and remember to take care of the most vulnerable group like senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions like- diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer etc., who are most at risk of getting infected with COVID-19.
