In connection with the Civil Defence Mock Drill exercise, the Deputy Commissioner, Temsuwati Longkumer chaired a coordination meeting at DC Conference Hall, Kiphire on 7th May 2025. DC said that Civil Defence Mock Drill is conducted to evaluate the preparedness of civilians and government agencies in responding to emergencies and its primary goal is to minimise confusion and save lives in time.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Longdiba L Sangtam and Superintendent of Police, Chinese Chakhesang also spoke in the program, saying that the mock drill will be conducted in an officially designated location in coordination with the state and local authorities. They informed that public may experience brief power outages blackouts simulation, loud sirens and limited access to certain public spaces and temporary traffic diversions etc, and urged the public not to panic.

Some of the Points discussed in the meeting were Staging Area at Public Ground, Temporary Hospital at public ground, Demilitarized zone and Air Raid affected area at market complex besides others. Various departments have been tasked with responsibilities and entrusted to ensure all logistical arrangements for the successful conduct of "Operation Abhyaas".
