The Office of the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Tening, conducted an Awareness Generation and Orientation Programme on Natural Farming at Tening Town on 2nd September 2025.
During the programme, the SDAO, Samsangheile Nchang highlighted the core pillars of natural farming, which include the use of indigenous (desi) cow, minimum or zero tillage, bio-formulations such as Jeevamrit and Ghan Jeevamrit, and the importance of biodiversity in sustainable agriculture.
Agriculture Officer, Isapeule emphasized the concept, features, principles, and practices of natural farming, urging farmers to adopt eco-friendly methods for long-term soil health and sustainable productivity.
A total of 125 beneficiaries from New Tesen village, Mbaulwa, and Tening village participated in the programme, gaining valuable insights into environmentally sustainable farming practices.
