In pursuance of the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls with 1st October 2026 as the qualifying date, a programme for publication of the Draft Electoral Roll was held at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall, Kiphire on 20th September 2026.
The programme was chaired by Shri Longdiba L Sangtam, NCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire. Shri Aben Yanthan, Assistant Election Officer, Shri Zavito Ltu, NCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner, and Shri Suliba, Assistant Programmer were also present.
Representatives of all registered political parties of Kiphire District attended the programme and collected copies of the Draft Electoral Roll.
On the occasion, it was informed that the period for filing 'claims and objections' will remain open from 20th September to 20th October 2026. Electors who could not be included in the Draft Roll, those who will attain 18 years of age on or before 01.10.2026, and those seeking correction/deletion/shifting of entries may file their claims and objections in prescribed Forms - Form 6 for inclusion, Form 7 for objection to inclusion, and Form 8 for correction/shifting - before the concerned Booth Level Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers or through the Voter Helpline App and http://voters.eci.gov.in/ portal within the stipulated period.
