Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS has issued an order re-iterating all the Village Council under Kohima District that the ban on jungle burning which is issued from time to time will continue to remain enforced.

The DC Kohima has therefore directed all the Village Council under Kohima district jurisdictions to inform and warn the public to refrain from burning of jungle which causes serious loss of public property and disturbs the ecological balance. The order further stated that any violation of the order shall be penalized as per the ordered issues earlier.
