Hiazu Meru, Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland issued the daily report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services in the State for May 13. The report informed that 7 (Seven) violations of the lockdown were reported and 12(Twelve) persons were bound down. A total amount of Rs. 67,400/- was imposed as fine under various sections of the MV Act from 332 vehicles.  No Law and Order incident has been reported in any part of the State.

            The Joint Secretary added that all essential commodity shops and medical shops were open in all the districts other than Mokokchung, where it was closed to regulate public movement.  There has been no report in the shortage of essential commodities. No restriction has been imposed on the movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers. Suitable arrangements made by the Government for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions continue to function. Accordingly, 4 (Four) relief camps are active where 64 (Sixty Four) migrant labourers are housed and 4 (Four) food camps are active. Also, more than 720 (Seven Hundred and Twenty) daily wagers and needy people were provided food/dry ration.
