The 8th NAP, Dynamic Eight Batallion Naltoqa Zunheboto District culminated its 9th Inter Coy sports meet cum 36th raising day 2021 on 1st April with DC Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo gracing the closing ceremony as Guest of Honour.

       The DC stressed on the importance of discipline not only in the field of sports but in all aspects of life. He also added that such kind of sports events brings out a common platform of friendship and often leaves fond memories behind. He further urged them to always remain sincere towards serving the people. The DC also administered the official closing of the event.

       Commandant 8th NAP and organizing chairman, H Kuhovi Sema said that, the battalion which was one of the oldest battalions, established back in 1985, should always remain thankful to then initiators of the establishment and very importantly remember and thank the land donors from the neighbouring villages, whose vision for the future stands bright for the present generation.

       The closing programme began with general salute by the buglers and was followed by presentation of bamboo dance by unit school, weapon handling (blind folded) from the unit, cultural dance from women department and march pass by the participating teams. Brief report of the event was presented by Deputy Commandant and Organizing Secretary, Y Kumtsu Yim.

     ADM Coy emerged as the overall Champion and the Guest of Honour handed out the trophies and medals to the winners. The event ended with the traditional Barakhana from the organizers.
