The Nagaland Police Headquarter celebrated the International Women's Day at PHQ, Kohima on 8th March 2022 along with rest of the world on the theme "Gender Equality for a Sustainable Tomorrow'.
Special guest speaker for the event, Advisor, Naga Mothers Association, Dr. Rosemary Dzuvichii exhorted the participants to fight for the rights and strive to bring gender equality in the society. During the programme, the special guest along with senior officers of PHQ released a booklet on 'SOPs for Crime Against Women'. Altogether six (6) women staff were felicitated during the programme namely, (i) Orenboni Kikon, Asstt. OS, Branch-I, PHQ, (ii) Sedevinuo Sokha, UDA, INT, (iii) Kekhriesenuo Chuse, LDA, Branch-III, PHQ, (iv) Adono Kent, UBSI, INT. (v) Lanurenla, Computer Operator, SCRB, PHQ, (vi) Metsiseno, WPC, Cyber Crime PS, PHQ.
UBSI Tsuponi from INT and ASI Venus Kikon from DBF Kohima shared their experience on the role of Women Police. Welcome address was delivered by SP (HR&SJ), V. Achetla and key note address was presented by DIG (R), Deepali R. Masirkar, IPS. A speech was also delivered by IGP (HQ), S. Tokiumong Yimchunger, IPS.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Preeti Malik, IPS, AIG (Co-ord). While the programme was chaired by Joy Thusi Fihtu, SP (MOD). A special song was performed by PHQ staff. The programme was attended by senior officers and women police personnel.
