Minister for Soil and Water Conservation and Geology and Mining, V. Kashiho Sangtam inaugurated Jan Shikshan Sansthan centre at Kiphire on 16th February 2022.
Speaking at the inaugural program, Kashiho said through the JSS program drop-out students can avail free vocational training. He urged the trainees not only to acquire the diploma certificate but to gain knowledge so as to set up one's own business for self-employment. He encouraged the drop-out students to spread information about the program in the rural areas.
Chairman JSSK Board of Management, Pankaj Kumar, while highlighting the aim of the program, said that JSS's main objective is to provide free vocational training to skill the drop-out students and help them create new opportunities. He said that JSS will be opened at Pungro and Seyochung very soon and also in rural areas.
Guest of honour, Mahatma Gandhi Fellowship, Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurs, Suknya spoke about the Skill Development objectives and its activities.
