KHIAMNIUNGAN SPORTS COUNCIL MEET 2022 CONCLUDES

Closing ceremony of Khiamniungan Sports Council meet 2022 was held at public ground, Noklak HQ on 17th January 2022 with Advisor, Prisons, Printing and Stationery, H. Haiying as special guest.

Haiying said sports should be taken as a career for our people. One should be disciplined in sports as well in all aspects. He advised them to avoid intoxicants and work hard. He appreciated Khiamniungan Sports Council for organizing the events and giving opportunities and platforms to the sport persons in the district.

President, Khiamniungan Tribal Council, M. Thangou spoke during the occasion. President, Badminton Association Noklak, P. Pukha delivered the welcome address and Vote of Thanks was said by Treasurer KSC, L.Imkhong. Frolic band of Noklak presented a special song.

Thangnokyan Village emerged as the champions in football and Pathso Noking village got the runners-up.

In Badminton (men doubles), New Pangsha won the first position and Pathso village secured the runners-up. In Badminton (women double), Pathso village got the first position and Thang Village secured the second position.

In Crossbows, the winner was Tangsoi P of Nokhu village; Thangem P of Nokhu Noking village got the second position and third position went to Chiming S of Cholangan village.

In Half Marathon (men) Lemchiu Y Khiam of Sanglao village won the first position, S. Pongom of Sanglao Village got second position and T. Longkhoi of Thang Village got the third position.

And in Half Marathon (women) Jumie Y of Sanglao village, Nuchai S Meyo of Sanglao village and S. Shongmao Khiamniungan of Sanglao village got first, second and third position respectively.

In Volleyball (men), New Pangsha emerged as winner and Old Pangsha got  runners-up.

And in Volleyball (women) Choklangan Village were the winners and  Kingniu village got the runners-up.

During the sport meet, Khiamniungan Sports Council felicitated Tsuchoi T of Kusong Village, Songmo P of Thangnokyan Village, Niansai T of Thang Village, Muchiu K of Thangnokyan Village and Shangchiu T Khiamniungan of Sanglao village for representing in the state and national levels. The certificates were handed over by the Advisor, H. Haiying during the occasion.

The sports meet was organised by Khiamniungan Sports Council in collaboration with Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP).
