Kiphire DTF for Covid-19 held a meeting on 8th April, 2020 at the DPDB hall, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sarita Yadav IAS.

The meeting agreed that Kiphire District Hospital will be converted to 'Isolation Centre' (Covid-19 Hospital) and therefore, the general patients will have to be shifted to the old building (Kiphire District hospital).

DUDA girls hostel, DUDA boys hostel, 14 IR Camp and Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire have been identified for the quarantine. While in Pungro Sub-Division GA Rest House has been marked for purpose of quarantine.

Motsuthung CMO said that 1 (one) Ventilator has been received and it will be placed at the Covid-19 ICU. Apart from this, he also gave reports on receiving 40 PPE, 1750 N95 mask, five thermal Scanner, 2900 Triple Layer Mask. 5 five bottles 500 ml Hand sanitizer received was said to have been distributed to hospitals at Pungro, Longmatra, Amahator, Sitimi and Likhimro.

Deputy Commissioner Sarita IAS thanked and appreciated the Medical Department, the Police department and the civil Societies for co-operating well with the Administration in fight for Covid-9. She reminded the members that the grant in aid sanctioned under RD has to be judiciously utilised for the purpose of quarantine in the villages. And she further informed that all supplies received in connection Covid-19 should be distributed with the knowledge of the chairperson DTF. 

Superintendent of Police Kiphire in his briefing has said that the law and order situation in Kiphire is normal. He also added that International Border have been sealed by setting up checkpoints at the junctions of Longmatra, Yangzitong, and Longthonger. Detailed reports of daily entries are being submitted on daily basis, he stated.
