The quarterly Kohima District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS in DC's Conference Hall Kohima on 4th November 2022.

Reviewing the last meeting minutes, regarding the IDRN portal, DC reminded the departments that have not submitted the updated data to submit it at the earliest.

For the revision of the District Disaster Management Plan (DDMP), DC asked all the line departments to provide inputs and suggestions to be incorporated into the plan and also set a target to complete the plan by January 2023.

Concerning the distribution of relief rice, ADC Kohima Rhosietho Nguori informed that the District Level Distributing Committee has been set up by the Government for distribution activities. He informed that some amount had been sanctioned in this regard, where the house decided to have a meeting with all the area administrative officers and other concerned officers to work out the modality for distribution activities under the district.

The meeting also discussed the complexity of the IRS structure and other issues regarding disaster management activities and decided to take up the matters in the next meeting.
