The Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting took up seven societies for registration during its monthly meeting held on 15th September 2021 in DPDB's Conference Hall Kohima. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS.
Representatives of the societies presented the aims and objective of their societies during the meeting. The societies included Bumblebee Society, Upper Agri colony Kohima; Kohima District Amateur Boxing Association, High School Kohima; Kohima District Table Tennis Association, Officers Hill Kohima; Nagaland Table Tennis Association, AG colony Kohima; Bridge of Hope, Perizie colony Kohima; De Operettas Music and Arts Society, Puro Complex, Supply colony and Rev. Moa Longchari Cancer Foundation, Peraciezie High School Road.
The House deliberated on the matters and based on the recommendation submitted by the screening committee, the house decided to recommend it to the Government for further approval and necessary action.
On 10th Northern Angami I - A/C recasting of Iconic project under 2021 - 2022, the house decided to recommend the change of programme from cementing of one road to construction of clock tower and forward it to Planning to take up with the State Planning Board for necessary action.
In regard to Aspirational Block of Tseminyu block, DC informed concern departments who have not submitted their 5 years plan to take note of it and to submit the plan by this week for onward submission to the Nodal department.
DC also reminded the members of the district level committee for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to come prepared with the details and information as required in the next meeting fixed on 22nd September 2021.
Social Welfare Department gave PowerPoint presentations on departmental activities under District Welfare Office by DWO Akali Sema; Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) by CDPO James Ezung and Integrated Child Protection Services Nagaland (ICPS) by Programme Manager, Raitalie Zeliang.
