The Zeme Music Association Nagaland (ZMAN) in collaboration with Sound-King Studio Nagaland organized the Launching of Zeme Music Association Nagaland Cum Celebration of World Music Day at Jalukie Town Square on 21st June 2022.
President of ZMAN, Keringsamyibe, in his opening address, said Zeme Music Association Nagaland was established recently with the Motto ‘Uplift to Excel’. He highlighted the upcoming singing competition called ‘Zeme Heleu Ruak’ which is to be conducted in a series of online and live performances. Further, the president informed the Zeme Artists of Nagaland to get register themselves with the Zeme Music Association Nagaland (ZMAN) as the Association has collaborated with Sound-King Studio Nagaland for a 30% discount on audio recording and production.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Tumda Newme, President of Zeme Council Nagaland appreciated the organizers for creating a platform for the budding artists to display their talents. He also added that music is a universal language that can bind together every religion, community, and all ages; and in the music industry talent and ability are the only criteria to reach a higher level and the youngsters have talents but lack determination & hard work which prevents them from excelling in the field of music despite their vast talents. Therefore, he has advised the young artists to explore their talents, work hard with commitment and also give their time and energy to become successful musicians.
Earlier, the event was hosted by Haining Newme and Reguipeuna, while the launching of Zeme Music Association Nagaland was done by Rev. Izieteilung, Executive Secretary, Zeme Baptist Church Council. Various musical bands such as Corner Light Singers of Nzauna village, Ecopyros of Jalukie B, Panic Station of Jalukie Town, the–Rils of Jalukie, and round 38 Soloist have enthralled the crowd with their performances. The event concluded with a special musical piece performed by Isirangbe (Drummer) & Kiriachile Rangkau (Guitarist).
