Minister of Health & Family Welfare S. Pangnyu Phom, Minister of Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining, Kashiho Sangtam, Advisor to IPR, SCERT & VG, Toshi Wungtung along with the Principal Health & Family Welfare visited Pungro Sub-Division on 14th of May 2020 to take the stock of the preparedness of COVID-19 Pandemic.

During the Official visitation,Phom interacted with the Medical Department and conveyed the satisfaction of preparedness with available equipment. He also appealed to the gathering to extend full cooperation to the administration and medical department. Later, the team headed to GA rest house for short interaction with civil societies where the meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sarita Yadav IAS Kiphire.

Speaking to the NGOs Kashiho Sangtam, Minister for Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining asked all to unite and stand firm together in the fight against the pandemic as unity cooperation is the only way to resist this unseen enemy. He also assured to extend full cooperation and support during this virulent fight.

Advisor to IPR, SCERT & VG Toshi Wungtung appreciated the village guards for their immense effort in taking charge of duty during this crisis. He also assured to supply of high transmission frequency walkie talkie to the village guard for emergence uses. He further encouraged the farmers to uphold traditional means of farming and storing grains for readiness. 

ADC Pungro, Abinav Shivam IAS briefed the mechanism of lockdown in Pungro block and extend gratitude to visiting team for taking a flying visit. He also thanked Pungro based NGOs and TFP for their relentless effort during this period.
