Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Longleng,M. ShayungPhom on 6th October 2021 at DPDB hall, Longleng. 

The DC informed the members regarding the inauguration of oxygen plant at Yachem CHC and clarified that the oxygen plant which was supposed to be setup at District Hospital,but could not be done accordingly due to lack of adequate space at the District Hospital.He further clarified that inauguration of the oxygen plant was a time bound arrangement by the Government and therefore, shifting was done at the nearest hospital to the district hospital as suggested by the H&FW department.

CMO Longleng Dr. Obangjungla informed that oxygen plant could not be assembled as expected before inauguration due to transportation problem and while EAC Yachem,PichanoKikon apprised the members on various arrangements for inauguration of oxygen plant program. 

ADC Longleng& President OCL, D. Robin highlighted the status of the Officers’ Club,Longleng and apprised the members that the club failed to organized programs as expected due to lockdown. He however announced that the forthcoming underage inter-state badminton tournament will be host by Longleng and therefore, inorder to encourage and boost the youngsters, he asserted that the Inter-departmental Badminton Tournament Longleng will be organised by the Officer's Club within the last part of November to first week of December 2021. He appealed to all the offers and department to actively participate in the tournament. He further informed the new members to register their names and submit registration fees along with annual membership to the Treasurer. He also urged the other club members to submit their annual membership. Meanwhile, SDPO Longleng& Treasurer, OCL,Impung Chang highlighted the activities done by the club despite pandemic lockdown.

The board recommended for change of nomenclature of GPS (C) Orangkong to GPS Hamlikong after briefing on the matter by the SDEO, Longleng citing that NOC and clearance was produced by the VEC Orangkong village

Assistant Programme Coordinator (RD), Longleng,Tongpang presented the activities of the Rural Development Department,Longleng through a PowerPoint presentation. He also apprised the members that the National Level Monitoring team (NLM) will be visiting Longleng on 9 October and requested the line departments to be in the station. 

The departmental activities for next DPDB will be presented by Power Department in the next meeting.

New members were also self-introducedduring the meeting.
