WOKHA:

In view of the forthcoming Independence Day Celebration, a coordination meeting of the Heads of Departments (HoDs) was held on 5th August 2021 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha.

The meeting focused on discussion of work distribution to be carried out by various departments under the district for successful conduct of the Independence Day Celebration. The DC informed all the officers that a copy of the work distribution will be given to all the HODs very shortly and requested them to implement their assigned responsibilities with outmost sincerity for the success of the celebration.

The Deputy Commissioner also informed the members that before the formal celebration, the following activities will be conducted /held by the following departments. Superintendent of Police, Wokha will carry out National Flag Rally 14th August 2021, Project Director, DRDA will initiate the Self Help Groups (SHGs) to organise sales day, while General Manager Industries & Commerce will organise sale of Farm products especially citronella oil on the 10th & 11th August 2021.

Department of School Education to organise painting and essay competitions for the students on 10th August, on 12th August 2021. Youth Resources & Sports and District Transport Office will carry out Flag Rally and Road Safety awareness campaign, while department of Forest will carry out plantation drive at New DCs office complex, AUDO to organise PMSVANIDHI Camp with SHGs and street vendors on 10th August 2021, and the District Administration in collaboration with DLCW-MSK Sakhi-OSC will organise COVID-19 sensitization and awareness programme and its impact on women folks under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) on 13th August 20212 at Police Point area.

The house also decided to conduct mass social work on 13th August in all the colonies/wards and Government offices in the district, where the Deputy Commissioner requested all the general public and the government employees to compulsorily and actively take part during the cleanliness drive.

SDO (C), Wokha, Chonpenthung Ezung also informed during the meeting, that the District Task Force will be carrying out COVID-19 vaccination drive and random testing from 7th of August 2021 in all the colonies of Wokha town and appealed to everyone to avail the opportunity.

ABOI:

                In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebration, Additional Deputy Commissioner Aboi, Chumlamo Humtsoe, NCS convened a meeting of all the HODs under ADC Office, Aboi on 6th August 2021 at ADC’s Conference hall. The meeting was held for chalking out the programme for the ensuing 75th Independence Day celebration.

Work distribution was assigned to various departments for successful celebration of the programme. Humtsoe also directed the HODs for instructing the staff to attend the programme to mark the special occasion of 75th Independence Day.

Marking the celebration of 75th Independence Day celebration, cleanliness drive will be organized on 13th August 2021 at Aboi.

KIPHIRE:

The Kiphire District Planning and Development Committee had a meeting on the 5th August 2021, at the DC Conference hall, Kiphire. 

Addressing the members from the chair, Deputy Commissioner, T. Wati Aier, NCS laid down the agenda for the upcoming Independence Day celebration and work distribution was decided as follows:-

  1. National Anthem - V.G Band Kisetong
  2. March Pass- 14 IRB and 41 Assam Rifle Kiphire. 
  3. Decoration of Rostrum will be done by Supply Department. 
  4. Refreshments will be provided by Horticulture Department
  5. Public Ground maintenance will carried out by PWD (R & B)
  6. Seating Arrangements- DEO and District Administration 7)
  7. Setting up National Flag-  EE PHED
  8. Road maintenances toward the Ground-  PWD (R& B) 
  9. Construction  of Welcome Gate- DRDA 
  10. Arrangements of PA System  by DPRO 
  11. Electrification- EE Power Department 
  12. Travel Escort- Hd. DB
  13. Security Arrangements- SP, Police Department 
  14. Medical Care- CMO Medical Department 
  15. Refreshment Supervision- EAC Among 
  16. Overall Supervision Management- ADC HQ.
  17. Retreat- DEF  Kiphire

During the meeting it was decided that every person who is fully vaccinated or have availed the 1st Dose of Covid vaccine should participate in the program. It was decided to provide “Free Medical Check-up” for public in town for six days from 9th to 14th August, 2021 for which CMO Kiphire has been informed. The house decided to organise essay writing/ painting / speech competition for students. The competitions will take place at ZPC Complex, Kiphire. 

The members also decided to have mass social work on August 14th in town. The works will involve cleaning of town areas, Government Offices, department quarters and wards. District Nodal Officer NTCP Kiphire, Dr. N. Moa Jamir gave a PowerPoint presentation on No Tobacco awareness - Smoke free District Headquarter and informed that it will be launched during the celebration of Independence Day, by the chief guest. Dr. Jamir said that the Government has launched the program for eradicating all forms of tobacco consumption i.e. smoked, chewed and sniffed etc.

New member of the board, DFO Kiphire, Chisayi IFS was introduced during the meeting, and was given in-charge for tree plantation, which would be carried out on 14th August.

Deputy Commissioner, Wati Aier informed all the government servants to attend the program positively observing appropriate SOPs. A local talent group, 'Team Infinite Nagas' will be performing on the 15th August during the Independence Day celebration.
