Kiphire District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on 8th September 2021 at DPDB conference hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of MLA Pungro-Kiphire A/C, T. Yangseo Sangtam.
The MLA in his welcome speech appraised the house and welcomed all the new members. He encouraged all the HODs and the new members to diligently offer their services for the benefits of the District. Sangtam lamented that Kiphire is regarded as one of the most backward districts in the State due to negligence in many sectors and said that more needs to be done on that part. He urged all the HODs to be responsible in their duties so that Kiphire will be on par with other districts. He stated that they will work together as a whole for the upliftment of Kiphire District.
Awards were given to the meritorious students and to the best attendance of DPDB members.

The house discussed on the proposal for construction of G.A. rest house at Kiusam EAC Hq. and registration of Jan Shikshan Sansthan Society, Kiphire. PowerPoint presentations were presented by the Medical department (National Tobacco control programme), Land Record & Survey and Horticulture.
DC Kiphire, T.Wati Aier, NCS appealed to all the members to strictly follow all the SOPs issued by the Government.
