District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Mokokchung, under the aegis of Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) organized a Mock Drill exercise in Mokokchung on 21st February 2022.

Simulating the effect of an 8.5 magnitude earthquake at 10:00 a.m, the exercise was carried out at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School, 

The exercise began with Drop Hold Cover and Evacuation of the students and informing the Responsible Officer (RO) Deputy Commissioner by the Principal about fire incident in the school resulting in structural damage and severe injury of students.

As directed by the RO, the Incident Response Team (IRT) responded with prompt action and immediately reached the incident site with all the available resources.

The operation was carried out by SDRF personnel, commanded by District Commandant, HG, CD, Mulai Lam, and NDRF 12 BN personnel under Dy. Commandant, Abinav.
