Zunheboto District Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) 12 Bn and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) conducted a mock exercise on 20th April 2022 at Zunheboto.

Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DDMA Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali said the public should not panic in any eventuality of actual disaster the SDRF and public should work together and that we should be prepared as our state is in a high seismic zone, it is the collective work and peoples participation that is important, and timely response is very important.

The mock exercise simulated an 8.5 magnitude earthquake in the district. The exercise was done at the DC office complex and Cornerstone Higher Secondary School to test the government's preparedness to respond to and manage impending disasters.
