The Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of October and November 2021 was held on the 8th November 2021 at the ADC Planning Conference Hall, Mokokchung. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister, PWD (Housing and Mechanical) and chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Tongpang Ozukum.
On the proposal of Youth Hostel at Mokokchung, the Chairman stated that he appraised the concerned Minister asked the house to get a reply the concerned department for. Ozukum said that the land owner of Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Tuli was willing to give the land free of cost for the establishment of the school to continue and stated that the school should not be closed down.
The house also deliberated on the construction of Pedestrian Footbridge for main junction, Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) Dumping Site, Mokokchung Highway By-pass road and purchase of medical equipments for combating Covid-19 in the district.
The house also accepted the translated documents of Village Councils Act Nagaland submitted by the select committee for approval.
After thorough deliberation, the house approved the registration of society (Soul Care) Chami Village-reg society for care and support to orphan children.
New board member, District Agricultural Officer (DAO) Mokokchung, B. Imti Tzudir were introduced to the house.
Certificate and cash to the winners of the essay competition organized by Raj Bhavan on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2021 were awarded during the meeting. Alemmeren B. Longkumer from Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung secured the first position while Senmangba Jamir of Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung came in second.
