The District Planning and Development Board Mokokchung meeting for the month of March & April 2022 was held on 14th April 2022 at ADC (Planning) Conference Hall, Mokokchung under the chairmanship of Minister & Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Tongpang Ozukum.

Health & Family Welfare Department gave a PowerPoint presentation on Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana while District Agriculture Officer presented on PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi in focus to their implementation initiatives of the project in the District. District Sports Officer also briefed the House on “Khelo India”.

After thorough deliberation the House approved the following schools for upgradation: Up gradation of Langpangkong Tzukong Govt. High School, Chuchuyimlang to Higher Secondary School with Science Stream and up gradation of R.C Chiten Jamir Memorial GHS, Changtongya to Higher Secondary level (Arts Stream). The House also approved the proposal for running of Kinder Garden School at Mangmetong Village. The House also approved grant for Impur Christian Hospital, for which the Chairman will forward the matter for the next financial year, 2022-2023. The meeting also approved the up gradation of (VHC) to Veterinary Dispensary at Moalenden under Longsa jurisdiction.

Registration of Language Translation Centre Society and augmentation of resource outlet was presented by Fazl Ali College. The House asked the Health & Family Welfare Department to present a thorough report on Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantra Jan Arogya Yojana Project implementation in the next DPDB meeting. The chairman informed the House on the ensuing 22nd edition of Dr. T. Ao Football Tournament, which is to be held at Mokokchung from 18th to 29th April 2022. He urged all the departments to come forward and extend their co-operation for the success of the Tournament.

The new Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS was welcomed during his maiden Mokokchung DPDB meeting.
