Mon District Task Force held a meeting on 8th February 2021 at the Conference Room in the Office of DC Mon for proper implementation of Covishield Vaccination drive in the District. 

            District Immunization Officer, Dr. Shasinle Tep provided the meeting with updates on the datas of various immunization drives that have been conducted in the District. With regard to Covid-19 vaccination, Tep highlighted that Nagaland had the highest vaccine wastage figures and proposed for session sites to be set only when there are sufficient numbers of beneficiaries in order to avoid vaccine wastage. 

            The vaccination drive is divided into three phases. In the first phase, a total of 623 healthcare workers have been administered with the first dose and the second dose has been scheduled for 17th February 2021. 

            The second phase started on 8th February where the targeted group includes all frontline workers.  The third phase will target persons above 50 years of age from the general public. Data collection and other necessary actions for successful implementation of the third phase was deliberated in the meeting. 

            The meeting was chaired by DC, Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS. Various District HoDs and members the District Task Force attended the meeting.
