District Administration Mon on 30th August 2022, organised a felicitation programme for the medal winners of Mon district at the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022 at DRDA Hall, Mon. 

Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS congratulated all the winners and the participants for representing the district and urged them to strive harder to achieve more. 

Superintendent of Police, Mon, Imnalensa, IPS thanked all the persons behind the scene who worked tirelessly to support the teams and athletes from the district, and congratulated and wished all the medal winners and participants the best for their future. 

Team Manager, Mon District, Chingmei Konyak while speaking on behalf of the team, thanked all the stakeholders from the district who were responsible for sending a huge contingent to represent the district in the Games. 

Speeches were also delivered by Presidents of KU, KNSK and KSU. Invocation was pronounced by District Chaplain and a special prayer for the Athletes and Team Management of Mon district was pronounced by Executive Secretary, KBBB, Rev. M. Chemyuh. The programme was chaired by EAC, Mon, M. Khenpa and a special number was sung by Yangman Lukhim. 

Mon district won 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze with a total of 16 medals standing at 7th place at the medal tally.
