The newly upgraded Government Higher Secondary School, Tening was formally inaugurated at Tening by Advisor for Water Resources, Namri Nchang on 4th February, 2021.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural program, Nchang expressed his gratitude to all the government officers, CSOs, and public leaders present for the support and active participation for making the program successful. He said that it was a remarkable achievement for Tening area people and acknowledged the Government of Nagaland headed by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and School Education Advisor, K.T. Sukhalu and Director School Education for their immense support in upgrading Tening GHS to Tening GHSS. Namri also thanked the Tening area people for placing trust on him and said that because of them various developmental work could be taken up and urged the gathering to strive forward together to achieve greater heights of success in the coming days.
Deputy Commissioner Peren, Sentiwapang Aier who also spoke at the function added that under the dynamic and able leadership of the Advisor Namri, the people have seen many positive changes in the area. He also encouraged the gathering that public support is very important for development to take place and urged the teaching faculty and other government departments to render the service practically and sacrifice for the welfare of the society.
Director, School Education, Wonthungo Tsopoe in his short speech he said that the biggest development in life is educating the children and advised the teaching staff to rededicate themselves in the field of teaching. During his short speech, he also assured to provide all possible help once the schools starts to function effectively and normally.
Short speeches was also delivered by President, Tening block chairman Union, Pelenkeng; Mbaulwa chairman, Namlia and President BJP, Peren District, Huzantadbo.
The Advisor was accompanied by Director and Deputy Director, School Education; officials from District Administration, Police, and officials from various departments.
Pastor, Town Baptist Church Tening, Rev. Kamwang Rentta pronounced the dedicatory prayer while the act of dedication was done by Advisor, Namri while traditional howling was presented by Tening village Council.
The Inaugural program was chaired by EAC Tening, Tumben. P. Tsanglao, traditional folk tune by Tening Students Unions, special song by Bamile Pame and vote of thanks was delivered by ADC Tening, Rhosietho Nguori.
