On 27th February 2022, Personnel of Narcotic Cell Police Station, CID, manning the Narcotic Check Point Khuzama, Kohima, stopped a vehicle B/R No. MNOSP-1 186 (Maruti Ciaz), silver colour, for routine checking at around 1300 hrs. A search of the vehicle and the occupant resulted in the seizure of 50 (fifty) soap cases of suspected heroin weighing approximately 600 grams, worth approximately 1.8 Crore in the illicit global market. One person namely (1) Lenminthang Khongsai. (29yrs), S/o-Paokhusei Khongsai. V/o-Phaijang. Po/Ps-Motbung. District Senapati. State - Manipur has been arrested. In this connection. A case vide Narcotic Cell PS Case No. 003/2022 U/S 21 (C)/ 60 NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation.
