Celebrating the National Day for Girl Child Day, a programme was organized by District Administration & District Level Centre for Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra (BBBP) Mokokchung at Town Hall, Mokokchung on 24th January 2022.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir released the BBBP Calendar and delivered a short speech, while Dr. Imlirenla Walling exhorted the gathering.

As part of the celebration programme, Inter-School Extempore Speech Competition was held, where students from different schools in Mokokchung town participated. Social Welfare Officer, Mokokchung, Moamenla Longkumer delivered the welcome speech and special number was presented by Liju Achumi, Winner of the Stage, Nagaland Season 2.

Winners of the Extempore Speech Competition are as follows: First Position, Moasungla Jamir of Jubilee Memorial School, Second Position, Yimdangjungla of Eden Academy and Third Position, Aditi Singh of Jubilee Memorial School. SDO (C), Mokokchung, Sentilong Ozukum presented the awards to the winners and also proposed the vote of thanks.
