Chief Resident Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland, Jyoti Kalash, IAS has inaugurated the National Handloom Expo, 2022, in the august presence of Wennyei Konyak, Deputy Resident Commissioner, NCS Nagaland House, at Handloom Haat, Janpath New Delhi on 1st March 2022. The Expo is been sponsored by the office of the Development Commissioner for Handloom, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

17 states across the country are taking part in the ongoing National Handloom Expo, from Nagaland state 25 stalls were put up for showcasing the handloom products of the state, there were 80 stalls at the Expo.

Jyoti Kalash the Chief Guest of the Day had also visited all the 80 stalls and interacted with almost all the participants, encouraging the entrepreneurs, especially from Nagaland and North Eastern states, he said that the best loom shawls are produced from the North-East states of the country. In the inaugural function, around 10 officials from the Ministry were present along with Manager Nagaland Emporium, Taka Temsu and staff, and Nagaland House staff.
